I didnt take a single picture at BMEfest, which in a way kind of sucks, and I dont want to post other peoples pictures. However, I did manage to take over 3 hours of video including about 25 minutes of underwater footage while we were swimming with the sea lions. You can expect some captures later this week, and some video clips and info on an upcoming project.

Sunday Clive and I went fishing, as it was one of his final days here in Mexico, we pulled in 8 Dorado! Totalling over 100 pounds of fish before 11am. It was our best fishing trip since we’ve been in Mexico and it could not have come at a better time.

Thursday I will be doing some more fishing with OperaNinja and Gretel as they appear to be the only ones left in La Paz interested & here long enough. Of course Im still trying to convince Jordan to wake up at 4am, but its not going so well..
As you may already know our dreams of one day hosting our own TV show are now one gigantic step closer. There is, of course, a lot more work ahead of us than behind us, but with any luck we will be pitching our ideas to TV networks this summer or fall. If all goes well we could start putting a crew together and perhaps filming by next year. Our fly-in fishing trip was also a complete success, we landed close to a dozen trophy 40″+ northern pike for the entire trip and what must have been nearly a hundred smaller pike (each) everyday. These are some exciting furious times to be living in…

Though I had never caught a Walleye (or Pickeral if you prefer) in my life, I mastered it on the very first day pulling them in one after another.

Though I had plans to visit quite a few people while back in Toronto for such a short time I ended up spending the majority of that time with the friends I spent the least amount of time with while actually living in Toronto (mostly because we [A&E&R] became friends right before I moved away). We watched an endless supply of Stargate SG1, Chappelle’s Show, Dr. Who, Battlestar Galactica, and enjoyed the fine food of Bo De Duyen (mmmmm mock duck), Amatos, and my personal favorite New York Subway. I’ll briefly mention that I bowled what could be the worst game in my entire life, I’ve blacked out the score from my memory so don’t remind me, and as luck would have it we ran out of time when I was kicking major ass the second game. I even made it out to Lindsay to visit with BMEshop.
Many beers were consumed, many computers were fixed, and a multitude of substances were smoked and ingested. It was truly a vacation containing everything I enjoy.
The day after my arrival to La Paz there was a huge skateboarding tournament downtown. I got a call from friends of mine who will be introducing me to the skateboarders that should be interested in my video project. Unfortunately because it was my first full day back I had a ton of work to do and wasnt able to get out of the house until after 9pm. By the time I arrived the tournament was over, but there were still about a hundred people on the malecon hanging out watching the skateboarders or the live punk bands. It would have been the perfect opportunity for filming. The atmosphere, people, music.. All the elements I want to incorporate were there teeming with titillation. It was something I hadnt experienced since living here in La Paz, I can only hope it happens again soon.
Yesterday I drove and walked around for a few hours in search of the post office to pick up my package from A&E. It turns out that packages do make it to Mexico, though their arrival date is highly unpredictable and exactly when you will receive notification your package has arrived is hit or miss. Regardless, Im happy to say that Im the proud owner of a homemade ceramic bowl complete with the “home” Stargate symbol painted in the center, as well as the entire 7th and 8th season of SG1, the first season of Atlantis, the first season of Battlestar Galactica, and a wonderous assortment of candies. When I saw cookies on the label I wondered if they might be the special kind like we received in Tweed. After consuming the entire box today I don’t feel any strange effects but I do feel special that my friends sent me such wonderful gifts!
