Today I got a gmail beta invite from a friend. As it turns out Opera is not supported. Since Im a full time Opera user this really makes it pointless to have a gmail account. Opening another browser just for that seems ridiculous. I installed MyIE2, an IE knock-off that uses the same rendering engine as IE. Sure it looks nice, has tabbed browsing, built-in popup blocking and such, but damn is it ever slow! I had both Opera and MyIE2 open at the same time. In the time it would take to load the main IAM page in MyIE2 I was cruising around IAM in opera with no problems. To be sure it wasn’t a cache problem I visited a few peoples pages I know I had never been to before.
MyIE2 moves slower than Bruce Campbell in Bubba Ho-Tep! That really screwed up my computer, uninstalling it actually made it worse. MyIE2 wrecked Javascript! Good thing I schedule restore points.

This weekend was rather eventful, my parents came up from the states to visit. They really liked my apartment, except my mother was afraid to go out on the balcony. We went out for dinner every night. The place they liked the most, Bo De Duyen, was the place I thought they might not like at all. It was great for me because I got to choose the restaurant every night, and I didn’t have to pay. It was the best at Benihannas, I got the Hibachi Ahi Tuna ($40CDN), and it was amazing! Since my mom is afraid of heights I thought it would be fun to go to the CN Tower and not mention the glass floor thing until we got up. Then my mother wanted to do the Canadian Walk of Fame, she really only cared about Shania Twain and William Shatner. So yea thats about it, they also brought up a bunch of stuff I was asking for, like my bike and ps2. Now I will stay in shape and out of trouble… right?
Today, Leeta and I went for a walk around Grenadier Pond so I could do a little fishing (I was having withdrawl). Leeta had a great time and jumped in the water a few times to spite me and scare away all the fish. I caught 3 small bass.
So this is an entry without pictures of fish, instead a picture of Leeta standing on the drinking fountain instead of just having her front two paws up.
My fishing equipment just went from a backpack full, to a trunk full!
